Waunakee Nature Lovers

This project involved re-imagining a large, boring, lawn-filled backyard into a vibrant space inspired by native prairies.…. Nearly all of the plants used were local-strain natives. The butterflies and other pollinators have really loved it nearly as much as the homeowners. What was once a barren expanse of lawn is now a thriving, life-filled landscape. Our designer and horticultualist Lindsey really found some great plant compositions that look great - both to humans and pollinators. Even in it’s first year of growth it was really a gem, and it keeps getting better.
